When I was 13 yrs old, my mother told me that I could not be a singer/songwriter. She told me that I was going to be President of the United States. Time spent in Washington on Capitol Hill and in the State Dept. soon cured me of her notion! It became clear through my experiences in Govt., and a vision I had while writing a budget for the democratization of Eqcuador, that I could positively affect many more people by playing music than playing politics. So the little girl became a singer afterall.

But as far as my mother is concerned, all is not lost. "Afterall, Reagan went from play acting to playing the President, Gopher went from The Love Boat to Congress, why can’t you?"
