"As someone who has worked in the entertainment industry for sixteen years, I have often been approached by friends and acquaintances who wish to get my attention or opinion on their creative work. I’ve been handed screenplays to read, CDs to listen to, and invites to see bands perform. Rarely does a song you’ve never heard before leap out at you and grab your attention. Bette’s do, and with a vengeance. They not only get your attention but also grab you by the heart and pull you in. Then you hum them for days.

As a film editor, I’m constantly searching for new music to place with the films I edit. I often search through hundreds of songs to find something catchy and appropriate for the film. Bette’s music stands out in that way - instantly catchy, with a wide audience appeal. With what little free time I have, I’ve offered my services to help record and edit footage of Bette’s live shows. Her music makes me feel like its something I want to be a part of.
