Second of all, the world is a dark and miserable place filled with the same people. A boy who glows in the dark should be considered a rare and priceless thing. He shines despite his bleak surroundings. The concept of Invasion of the Body Snatchers is also thinly enveloped within these lo-fi romantic interest driven pop songs. The underlying theme(or "sidequest" if you will) is the individual vs. society. For all those living in an overpopulated world, who still somehow feel like the last man on Earth.
