A Polynesian/Chinese Kiwi, born and educated in a small suburb of South Auckland (Papakura), New Zealand. In 1995, he’d gotten married and left his beloved country for a backpacker’s life around the world with a jumping-off point from Wisconsin, U.S.A.
Japan (2001): a few gigs here and there around central Tokyo (namely British and Irish bars) performing covers of western favorites by Oasis, Beatles, U2, Radiohead and Coldplay in a solo acoustic format. Eventually, the progressive development of an unorthodox guitar style in his live performances attracts a small following among young Tokyoites and foreign residents alike.
In 2004, moves to the island of Guam and there he makes the transition from cover musician to indie singer/songwriter making primitive D.I.Y recordings at home.
