G-13 are a five-piece electric rock band from Ocean City, MD, whose grassroots music summons up bits of early-Dead acid rock, mixes in vast and airy surf pop and finishes the recipe with a healthy serving of classic rock that transcends time. The Band’s debut album, "Still Dancin’", is an all-original mix of these influences and more, produced by Mark Karan of Bob Weir’s Ratdog and The Other Ones, and featuring additional guitars by Karan as Well as The Dead and Ratdog’s Jeff Chimenti on piano and Barry Sless, The David Nelson Band and Phil Lesh & Friends on Pedal Steel.
"Still Dancin"’ features 9 original guitar-driven songs focused on composition and musicianship, and truly shows off the band’s long-standing friendship(The band has been together for more than ten years)and love of making music together. The listener will be hit with sounds ranging from the brand new to the familiar, to the occasional off-the-cuff improvisation. Soulful, with bubbling bass lines and a complex layering of guitars topped off by Karan’s ability to channel decades past, the album kick into a classic rock bio written for precisely this moment in time.
G-13 will tour behind "Still Dancin’" hitting the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions in early 2006. The band, made up of Skip Maisel, John Sybert, Jason Shegogue, Sonny Martin and Tom Lutz, have toured the east coast and hit the festival circuit, including slots at Smilefest, Treehuggers Ball and Good Vibes. G-13 have also played in front of sold-out crowds at NYC’s famous BB King’s Blues Club and have shared the stage with top-notch musicians like Mookie Siegel, John Molo, Keller Williams, Sanjay Mishra and more. A laid-back, fun touring band with songs that will have you humming along, G-13 will be creating a buzz that brings out crowds in 2006.
