We’re a femme fronted high energy indie rock band out of Oakland, CA. Big sound, big beat, laced with synths and things that go bump in the night smeared with lipstick....

Omnesia is fronted by Enmei47 - a powerful and provocative singer/songwriter - dripping with mystery, darkness and passion. E47 has been described as the lovechild of Siouxie and Marilyn Manson; a distinctive voice that evokes facets of Chrissie Hynde, Annie Lennox, PJ Harvey, Linda Perry, Peter Gabriel, Nina Hagen, Bjork and Robert Plant.

Category? Omnesia is all over the map. Omnesia fans say: Rock, pop, art rock, prog rock, new wave, 80’s, the next big thing.....

Omnesia is composed of six musicians who have toured locally, regionally and overseas in other acts to audiences as large as 15,000 that have included Vicious Rumours, Damage, Mickey Thomas’ Starship, Aaron Pearson, Fiction, and Great Beast. Band members have shared concert lineups with Testament, Concrete Blonde, and The Servants.

Omnesia’s EP was produced by Jim Juhn, who has toured, recorded and composed with ex-members of King Crimson.

I first would like to say, I’m glad that I formed an opinion before I read any of these reviews here (on RedFizz). This whole forum has serious consistency and credibility issues, therefore you have to seriously ignore at least half of what read here ...at least, however , ocasionally someone has some wisdom to share.

This is music for smart weird kinky people with some musicality, and this won’t be everyones cup of tea, as there are alot of unadventurous sex partners in this world like the ones who feel missionary position for 5 minutes is as good as sex gets...this music is not for them, just like most of the previous reviewers)

The musicians are all quite good in support of the vocalist, the piano especially has chops and vibe. Vocalist is definitely not a waif, or Celine Dion or Britney or some sugary pop industry puppet, she has the guts to be freaky ( extra points, the effects are cool ...don’t listen to those other dumb-asses) although I’m afraid you could gain more listeners if you dumb it up and give the average bonehead a more standard arrangement with big power chord repetitive chorus’. Those into groups like Nina Hagen, Radiohead, PJ Harvey and Mr.Bungle would probably be more favorable towards this ..

If your thing is groups like the Donnas and more industry standard music that sounds strikingly similar to everything else, you will be overly challeneged musically by Omnesia. The reviewers who use words like unfocused, and Pain is not a good word ? clearly do not know what they are talking about, and my guess would be, there are no toys in their bedrooms. Just look at some of the bands that get glowing reviews on this site, it’s a good indication why we have Bush as president. Keep doing what you do, I think your market is euro and global, and maybe not as bonehead as the US market, or change up for short attention spans with average stock type arrangements.
I liked it.
