The Christmas Project is a collection of new, original Christmas songs written and performed by me and some of my songwriting friends. With performances by 8 different Artists, songs by 5 different writers along with various musicians and recorded in 3 different studios from the USA to Australia, it’s bound to have something for every listener. The genres include Pop, Easy Listening, Ballad, Rock, Blues, Power Ballad and more.
Coming to us all the way from Australia, is a song written and performed by the talented Nick Puñal, about the shepherds journey and joy on the night of Christ’s birth, called "The Shepherds Song."
From the state of Maryland, comes a performance by my friend and collaborator Steve Israel, reminding us that "Christ Is Christmas." This song was the #1 song on https://www.tradebit.com the week of Christmas in 2002.
Carolyn Gardner, also from Maryland, wrote "The Greatest Gift," which 16 year old Sally Hawkins performed. She also wrote "From The Manger To The Cross," which Marci Hawkins (Sally’s Mom) performed. Two wonderful songs, matched with two beautiful voices.
With a comical look at spending too much money for Christmas, Kenny Sirmans delivers the Blues-Rocker "The Christmas Bill Blues," written by yours truly.
Kenny fronts the Atlanta based R.O.C. (Rock Of Christ), Christian rock band.
"All Jesus Wants For Christmas" is delivered by worship leader, songwriter and musician Eric Baker. Eric also lent his talents to the project via his keyboard arrangement, saxophone playing and backup singing on many songs.
Ronnie K. Winstead wrote and performed, "Another Christmas Means Another Year," reminding us that the best gift is the love we all share.
And last but not least, is my personal favorite, "Bring The Baby In." A power-ballad with an equally powerful message inviting us to make the baby in the manger a part of our lives and not just a prop in a holiday scene.
Eight different songs and artists, with one simple message, Merry Christmas.
