The second album from Victor Gulley displays a wider variety of styles of music.
This album took one year and a half to complete. It is by far the most diverse album I have written to date. It starts off with a feel of the first album "Do You Believe." I then took a more soul or ballad style with I just want to Love you. The next two songs I really wanted a New Age Jazz sound. The title track again brings the genre back to a more R&B sound of the 80’s. To balance that out I wrote a classical song which will always be one of the most inspiring songs on the album. A Song for Carol. Carol is David Ragsdale’s mother. Carol passed away a few years ago and this song was appropriately titled in her honor. Lovin You was written for a person I truly cared about, Aleka Merrills. The song is in a 3/4 time. "Past Loves" is something everyone goes through and it makes you wonder about that person in your past that you just "Can’t Let Go" of. The next track I wrote with again a Latin feel but with a smooth Jazz guitar of Kerry Mott. The last two tracks are acoustic but powerful versions of two songs that struck an emotional chord with me during the recording. This album was truly an amazing creation for me and I hope it comes through to you as you are listening.
