From an early age I started listening to music outside of the norm ... I remember that the first album I ever purchased was ’Kimono my House’ by Sparks; I just wasn’t a big fan of the everyday radio airplay music. When others touted Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin I much preferred Brand X; while my friends would rave about AC/DC I was much happier connecting with Camel; and when Foreigner was the flavor of the month I would satisfy my aural senses with Weather Report. I needed more intrigue in my music to stave off my very short attention span.

In my late teens and early twenties I played bass in a few local bands but I was never really that good and didn’t take it too seriously. I was frustrated with dysfunctional band members and grew tired of playing ’Johnny B Goode’ to drunken audiences.
So nowadays I much prefer to lock myself in my private recording studio and create my own compositions from scratch ... there is no-one else to blame but me! If I want to add some strings or horns, maybe a solo violin or slap bass line there’s nobody to stop me! I am the master of my own domain (to quote one famous Seinfeld episode).

My brother ’Garance of Arabia’ (name given to him by a Saudi Prince) has and always will be a major inspiration to me and co-wrote both ’Toe Jam’ and ’Psychodrama’; arguably two of the strongest tracks on this CD. His artistic creativity is also spotlighted on the CD front cover. Nice one Bro! Otherwise the remaining tracks are my own original compositions performed, recorded and mixed by yours truly. I thank Erik Ames of SuperDigital in Portland, OR for a masterful mastering job!
