Biography

Born in 1956 in Los Angeles, California, James began playing the piano at the age of four. Thus began his love for writing music, lyrics and prose. Growing up in Los Angeles and the central valley he gained personal access to some of the greats in blues and jazz, learning first hand the philosophy and mastery from these artists. He continued to develop his own personal style, performing solo and forming bands that played in venues both large and as an opening act and headliner for some of the biggest names in the business. In every performance he brings an inspired artistry that the audience can’t help but feel.
Currently James has several CD’s available with more scheduled for release the coming year. His philosophy towards music is simple “ I came from the Beatles generation… where every album was different. I never want any of my records to be the same as the last. Things changes, so do I .I want to grow and have my audience grow with me.”
In the past few years James has also applied his creativity to writing, acting, directing, and composing in films and television. With his extensive experience still wrapped in childlike enthusiasm, audiences big and small are beginning to discover the exciting talent and endless possibilities that make up this gifted artist.
