What can I say to give you an idea of what this album is about? You?re best off just listening to the samples, it’s a love it or hate it original piece. Although sometimes people hate on it because it’s a little different and then it grows on ’em.
Basically, it was influenced by the Northern California bay area’s gangster rap that was being played from 1992-1996,This was my first project but unlike most rookie albums, this project didn’t get thrown together.30 songs got trimmed down to the 17 that came out above average and the duration of making the whole project took over...shit, like, five years.
After pages of lyrics piled up in my notebooks, I went in 50/50 with a friend (J.M.P) and bought this hella expensive Ensonique keyboard, spit lyrics that I felt were original, hard and even funny at sometimes and laid it all out on a computer in the garage with a sure sm57 mike.
The beats are good quality, the lyrics are coo but at some parts of the album the vocals just aren’t mixed down to that million dollar studio quality. The project started when I first moved to S.F. in 1995 I really wasn’t feeling the missy elliot and nelly that was playing on the radio and put something out with a feel of those old e-40 and the click albums, old dre dog cuts or those west coast bad boy compilations.
Durring the creation of this album I was working odd jobs at hotels and at copy max and what-not and was living in the garage at my dads house, needless to say i had a lot of time on my hands and put most of it into this https://www.tradebit.com this album I wrote about things i had heard or seen and exaggerated shit I’ve done personally.I recorded some big blocks reving up in the garage and put that in a song, I shot my pistol out the window and recorded it to give it that real life flavor, instead of pulling something off a sound fx c.d.I had this one dude put some scratches on two of the songs named A.G. from Thailand, we did those in his apartment in the Filmore. I’ve got some murder music, some smoking music, some funny pussy stories and a couple of instrumentals for free style sessions for the person who buys the cd. It’s music for the the car, not dance music.
I had it pressed up professionally at https://www.tradebit.comds records. in S.F. Shrink wrapped and the whole https://www.tradebit.com dont worry about getting mailed a home-made https://www.tradebit.com selling this album for the cost of duplication and cd baby’s cut ,i finished this album 2 years ago, and i’m just trying to get more of it out there and have people trip of my ideas and music, and maybe get a bigger fan base for the second album. I?m not tying to make a career out of this, I like it, People who bought it tell me they play certain songs over and over,i can say its this or that but really, it?s all about your personal preference.. So, listen to the sample files on this one ,if you like it, swoop on it, it won’t replace Eminem in your cd changer but I might have a few songs on there that you trip off. Even if you don?t buy it, send me an email about what you like and what your not feeling on the samples.
