"The Silent Partner" is a Greenfield song that Buffy Ste.Marie covered with great acclaim in 1988. The original version (found here) was recorded in 1972 by Barry, and produced by David M. Kershenbaum for RCA USA. His band that day was Jim Gordon (Derek and the Dominoes), Larry Carlton (Steeley Dan), Joe Osborne (The Byrds), and Larry Knectel (Bread).
