David S Theroff is a singer/songwriter/guitarist based out Northern Illinois. He began song writing in 1974, and has been with it ever since.

David got introduced to music at a young age by his Grandfather who played Austrian polka’s by ear on his button accordian, as well as from his mom who played records by Ray Charles, Nat King Cole, and many others. He was a music major at SIU in Carbondale Illinois, and started performing during that time. He is trained in Clarinet, Oboe, Piano and voice.

His interest in creating music came from a point of where music was heading during the late 70’s.

His influences include Harry Chapin, Crosby/Stills/Nash/Young, Leo Kottke, Doc Watson, Strawbs, and just about anyone who has made it playing acoustic guitar.

David is currently working in the studio on his new CD to be released in December04/January05 time frame.

David also studied African Drumming with Master Drummer Adetunji Joda, was a scuba instructor, an archer, a computer professional, and is currently one of a very small group of Shao-lin Kung Fu Masters (6th degree Black belt) on the planet.
