Former Smalltown Poets’ (Forefront Records) guitarist, Kevin Breuner, didn’t know what the future would hold for him when he relocated to the Northwest. The rigors of life on the road had left him feeling a bit numb and drained musically. It didn’t take long, though, before inspiration struck and the creative juices began to flow again. "I had spent so much time on the road touring before moving to the NW, that it seemed like there was never time to just ’be,’ and allow creativity to run it’s course. "I want our music to be an honest reflection of our lives," Joel adds, "Not just candy coated pop songs." If we cover ourselves with the spiritual disciplines described in ’The Covering’, there is always hope.
"Everything is different this time around," Kevin interjects, "The industry has changed so much just from the few years since recording with Smalltown Poets. Songwriters have more creative power than ever before, as the personal computer has become the ultimate songwriting tool. This has helped to take my songwriting up a couple notches. It’s a very exciting time to be a musician and songwriter". When it comes to musical influences, We spend a lot of time listening
