Kevin Roth is one of the world’s leading innovative mountain dulcimer players, singer-songwriters. Kevin’s voice is lyrical, and beautiful. His recordings and tours have earned him a large following around the world. His musical taste range from folk to jazz, to world. Kevin is one of those musicians who is a total artist. He spent several years living as an abstact painter, in San Diego CA giving very few concerts, and lived primarlily off his record sales. Then he moved to Hollywood Florida, where he began to record and tour again. He explores music on the dulcimer ranging from original to Billie Holiday, Jacque Brel, Sting, and others. He also created a brand new instrument is used mostly for healing called a "Soul Zither" which can be seen on his web page WWW.KEVINROTHMUSIC.COM.
Kevin’s earier work is part of The Folkways/Smithsonian Collection. He has also recorded for Sony, Random House, and Book of The Month Club.He also sang the theme to the hit t v show "Shining Time Station" on PBS and FOX Network.
