Nfluence was born and raised in Richmond, VA where he currently resides.
He was raised in a loving environment, and on occasions he went to church where he was introduced to the knowledge of God. During his childhood, though, he witnessed extreme domestic violence between his parents who struggled with drug and alcohol abuse. Experiencing this led him to the streets.
He began indulging in all types of illegal activities by the age of 15. Heavy drinking and smoking later led him to street violence, theft, vandalism, assault charges, gun violence, and selling drugs. He used rap as a way of expressing thoughts and frustrations of his life.
Nfluence barely made it to graduating high school; during his senior year, he was arrested and charged with 7 felonies at the age of 17.
After several months of incarceration, he gave his life to Christ. Soon after, he was released from a county correctional facility and most of the charges were dropped. The rest were applied to his juvenile record, and he was given supervised probation to last for 16 years. By the grace of God, he was released after one year from probation and none of the charges were applied to his adult record.
He tried to maintain the Christian lifestyle during this time, but struggled because he was not connected to any ministry or church home and was soon re-living the same street life. When 2 of his cousins were murdered, he received a wake-up call, and desperately sought a change. He knew in his heart that only God could deliver him from such a stressful life.
While visiting Mt. Gilead Full Gospel International Ministries, he was moved to connect to the ministry and he began going regularly with his girlfriend Taliah who he married shortly after, and now as of 2005 has a son named Caleb.
He is currently an Assistant Store Manager for a major retail company and is active in the Rap, Youth, Shalom outreach (overseas missions)and Prison Ministries at Mt. Gilead. Prayer has released his father from drug addiction, smoking etc, he now also serves at Mt. Gilead.
Nfluence is now considered a spiritual lyricist. Unlike the average lyricist, his motive and creativity is built to unlock mind limits-those who struggle in their mind, locked in a mental war.
