His debut solo CD, Sacred Nation, received the 2003 Native American Music Award for Best Independent Recording. His remarkable follow-up recording, They Come Dancing, was nominated for a 2004 Nammy. Michael’s also a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.

Already an accomplished guitarist and singer, Michael also plays Native flute, harmonica, percussion and co-produces his CDs. But writing powerful songs remains his passion and primary focus.
