The album (LEARN TO LIVE) is a GMIP production,started by Jeffrey Berry aka (MESENJAH).Born inE.st.louis,ILL.Mesenjah was never a stranger to the music world.He grew up watching his father rehearse in the living room of their home,with five mic stands, reel to reel recoder, amplifiers etc..He and his six brothers and four sisters would sneak in the
room after their dad was gone and have their own talent shows.At 13,he joined the school band and also began reading and wrighting poetry.Not knowing his passion for poetry would later open a gateway to the world of hip-hop,It still would be over 15 yrs later before he would pic up a microphone.By age 16,his life took a detour,were he began running the streets and eventualy dropped out of school.In a city were the crime rate is high and poverty runs rampid and oportunity is rare,he soon was swept into a world of drugs,alcohol,gangs and guns.At age 20 he was shot in the back during a gang war.The bullet lodged one inch from his spine which made it impossible to be removed,for fear of parylization.This was a wake up call.He decided a change was needed so he relocated to Houston tx..Still addicted to the streets,it was only a matter of time before he began a repetitive lifestyle of what he thought he had escaped.It wasn’t until 1997 that his life would never be the same.In august of 97 he received a phone call in which a very close friend(CHRISTOPHER PRICE;whom had just came to visit him a few weeks earlier,was found dead under his truck).This was the turning point.Having lost many of friends to the streets, this one somehow seemed different. He soon began visiting different churches and later rededicated his life to the Lord.The title song (learn to live)was dedicated to CHRISTOPHER PRICE which was the inspirtion of the song thus the album.
