his powerful vocals and energetic guitar playing are timothy mank’s trademarks.

he spent several years establishing himself as a serious songwriter and performer in his hometown of dallas, texas and has since relocated to los angeles, california.

with a unique, fast-strumming guitar style and a voice that could sound as smooth as chris isaak or as raw as bruce springsteen, timothy found his style rooted in a hybrid of pop and blues.

growing up in texas it would be impossible to ignore the obvious influences on him like guitarist, stevie ray vaughn.

however, timothy’s depth as an artist is revealed in his ability to change styles of writing without ever losing his signature sound.

timothy formed his back-up band, "the sushi kings" in march of 1999.

in the past year, timothy mank & the sushi kings have exploded onto the l.a.

music scene with an unbridled energy to their live shows.

along with the new band timothy started a new record company, vida pop records, to handle the release of his promising, sophomore album, drive, due out at the beginning of august, 2000.

not only did he write all of the music and lyrics, record his guitars and all of the vocals (including lead and back-ups), but he also designed the cd packaging, worked as executive producer of the project, and did much of the musical, digital editing as well.

drive showcases the new band along with some notable session players.

guitarist allen hinds and guitarist bail fung (alanis morissette) add their own contributions to the project.
