LINCOLN CONSPIRACY, the Boston based piano-power-pop trio, is a truly one-of-a-kind band. "Insanely catchy piano-based pop" writes the Boston Globe, about their songs that mix new-wave sounds, 70’s rock, harmony-filled pop and singer-songwriter compositions into mini-epics. Witty and sincere, hard-edged and melodic, they blend upbeat rock and roll with relaxed pop to be your favorite band on a Saturday night AND Sunday morning.
After two years the band returns with the self-produced, "John"-- the first of two EP’s the band will release this year--a collection of four new hook-filled pop-rockers. Since the release of their 2003 full-length cd, "details are everything", LINCOLN CONSPIRACY and its members have been busier than ever. They have played 100+ shows at clubs and schools in New England and did a full east-coast tour from Maine to Florida. In their spare time drummer/singer Steve Lourie played on the internationally acclaimed, self-titled debut of The Bravery (Island/Def Jam) and Ethan Kreitzer’s keyboards can be heard all over Boston clubs, sitting-in with such acts as Baby Strange, Will Dailey and The Rudds. In 2004 Steve Ordonez was added as their new bassist adding layers of rock and soul to their songs.
Their last album received great reviews and accolades from the Boston press. The Boston Globe has featured them in their daily "Go!" section on multiple occasions, recommending their "bright and breezy pop" and deeming their songs "insanely catchy." Northeast Performer described their album as "fiercely impelled by cheeky sugary good naturedness and injected with warm fuzzies and feel-good intentions." And The Noise, reviewing a sampler, offered: "it is my hope that the full-length is at least half as brilliant as these three songs are." Songs from "details are everything" received lots of local and college airplay and live in-studio performances at WBCN, WMFO, WBRS and WERS,
In concert, LINCOLN CONSPIRACY’s high-energy is always a crowd-pleaser, as they tear through their set with an intensity that would tame the hardest of bands. Sweat-drenched shows, dance-fueled jams, rousing personalities and well-executed covers are just part of the fun of LC gig. Shows in Boston (including TT’s, Middle East and Lizard Lounge) and NYC have helped garner them college shows throughout New England and great opportunities to open for touring and national artists.
