Writer: Kristy Jackson - Publisher: Fever Pitch Music/BMI
"Recorded with nothing more than piano accompaniment and her extraordinary voice, this is a stunningly emotional tribute to the folks who fought back on Flight 93.
It’s a lump-in-throat experience, and if the rest of this woman’s songs are this good, she needs to be signed and promoted at once"
Robert K. Oermann - Music Row - May 2002
An accomplished keyboard player and vocalist, Kristy Jackson is a BMI award winning songwriter who most recently in attempting to put into words her pain and pride in her country in the aftermath of Sept. 11, wrote a song that ended up touching the world. The song, "Little Did She Know (She’d Kissed A Hero)" was the #1 most requested song on the largest radio stations in New York City and other major markets in the fall of 2001. Sales of the subsequently produced CD have been documented in every state of the US as well as England, Ireland, Italy, Israel, Germany, Australia, Mexico, Canada, South Bogota, British West Indies, Japan, Taiwan and South America. Kristy is donating all of her songwriter royalties as a result of airplay and half the net proceeds of the sale of "Little Did She Know" to Sept. 11 Disaster Aid Funds. The CD is available exclusively over the internet at her website, https://www.tradebit.com and others and has raised over $26,000 for Disaster Aid funds to date. Kristy has spent the few years performing the song gratis to those affected most. Both New Jersey and Pennsylvania State Legislatures have recognized Kristy and her recording of "Little Did She Know" for its healing effects after 9/11. The song continues to get airplay every anniversary.
