Dreamy, inviting, and lyrically sparse, Kristi’s debut album is equally at home for long drives across the oil fields of Texas, as in Chicago during rush hour.

After settling into a career managing a retail store, Kristi Rae recorded Various Means of Transportation. It easily envelops the listener with it’s spacey orchestrations and lush arrangements. Accidentally a concept album, it begins with birth, follows through the many comings and goings of life, and ends with death.

Kristi Rae’s passionate but gentle vocal delivery absorbs the listener easily. During much of the album, the listener can get lost in her vocal work while missing certain understated lyrical themes- that is until a repeated listen with more rapt attention brings one to discover a greater depth than before.
