THE LATEST: Come check out the official Jim Martin website, https://www.tradebit.com, by clicking the link on the left-hand side of this page... Jim’s "We Wanna Rock" was played in the middle of an inning over the P.A. at PETCO Park in San Diego on Sunday, July 17, 2005 during the Navy/Marine Corps baseball game. The San Diego Padres and Arizona Diamondbacks game that preceded the Navy/Marine Corps contest was a sell-out, and a limited number of autographed copies of the JIM MARTIN CD were given away to fans as a promotional item. For more info on U.S. Navy Baseball, visit https://www.tradebit.com... Wouldn’t it be cool to hear tracks like "We Wanna Rock" or "Bobby & Carrie" on the air sometime? Well, both Hofstra University radio (WRHU 88.7 FM) and Nassau Community College radio (WHPC 90.3 FM) on Long Island are now open to requests for songs off the JIM MARTIN album. Hofstra’s request line is (516) 463-WRHU and their station’s email addy is WRHUMUSIC@https://www.tradebit.com, while NCC’s request line is (516) 572-7438 and email address is WHPC@https://www.tradebit.com. And if the local college stations in YOUR area happen to not be playing any J.M. yet (and I’m assuming they aren’t), then perhaps you could email and direct them over here to show ’em just what they’re missing ;)

"I miss you so bad, baby I’m crying..."

"...a virtual unknown to most of us."

A teenage couple set out on a long roadtrip to California where fame and fortune seemingly await them.

The sudden loss of his brother’s life to the 9/11 attacks leaves a younger sibling in mourning.

"...with one last kiss, a thousand miles of clouds are paved."

"Strong Bacardi shots, tonight we’re gettin’ hammered..."

"...alone and estranged from her past and closing in on her future."

"I want to live inside your eyes, where beauty lives and evil dies..."

AUTUMN (3:07)
A city boy experiences his first bouts of homesickness out in the lonely farmlands of the Midwest.

"...who will it be when I just want some good advice, the kind you get from your dad?"

Bonus tracks

Jim Martin was born on June 3, 1980 in New York, NY. Raised by his father Martin (from whom the latter half of his stage name is derived), mother Carmen and older brother Henry - he grew up and went to school for the first years of his life in Forest Hills, Queens.

As a result of his parents’ divorce in the mid 1980s, he was later encouraged by both his mother and father to take up a hobby on the weekends to help him cope with their separation better, which lead him to begin attending weekly piano classes at a learning facility in Queens when he was 10. Moving out to Long Island with his father a few years later, he switched instructors so he could conveniently resume his lessons at home rather than at the school.

Inspired by the classic singer/songwriter records of the early to mid ’70s and by modern day hits such as Billy Joel’s STORM FRONT in 1989, Martin began taking some vocal lessons in addition to his ongoing piano courses, and subsequently began writing his own material by the age of 16 in 1996.

He commenced work on a solo album with renowned music producer & recording engineer Steve Young (Queen Latifah, Taylor Dayne, the Good Rats) at Media Recording Studios in Merrick, NY in 2003, resulting in his self-titled debut CD, which was released independently throughout parts of Long Island in June 2004. Martin’s biggest musical influences include Joel, The Beatles, Elton John, Pink Floyd, Ben Folds Five, the Rolling Stones, and Queen.

He currently lives in East Meadow, NY, and resides seasonally in San Diego, CA, but can be reached by email at info@https://www.tradebit.com.
