Born in South Carolina and raised on an island just outside of Savannah Georgia, Knight’s soulful sound is unmistakable.
India Arie quoted on stage during her performance, "I heard this amazing voice and had to follow that sound" when referring to one of Knight’s shows that she attended in San Francisco. She later asked Knight to be her opening act.
