Electric bassist Mat Garrison, son of Jimmy, bassist for Coltrane, Garrison is definetely one of, if not the best, jazz bassist on the scene today. A jazz guitarist (read: former rocker) delivers both fluid bop and searing fusion effortlessly on this album. Composer of all tracks, Nat Janoff has the talent, both as a player and a writer, to go the distance in the jazz world.
