From up-beat to down-tempo, ballad to blast, the sound is big movement. Brendan plays mixed drink music for and from the soul. Lyrically driven, soulful and stylish, the blend is seamless and seductive. His focus is for people’s real attention; his affinity for the aware crowd, conscious of his relevant songs.
Brendan proves himself a storyteller from the heart with each and every performance. His love for acting and music fuse to create an inspiring experience. His sound takes trips to possible paradise, or makes turns devilishly dark with humor and humility. This actor, writer, singer, and musician aims to make the most of his moments in the light.
Brendan has called many places in this nation home (nearly all corners of each coast); releasing what he considers essential energy in places like Los Angeles, Miami, Seattle, Jersey, New York City, and the ’burbs. Most at peace on stage, and with years of performing experience, he reaches across many genres; mixing sexuality, politics, travel, and the dibble-dabble of daily life. Those who have seen Brendan on piano and guitar, bringing it all to the stage, return regularly to get another dose of his real jazzy-blue-hip-hop-folk-rock blend. Whether with a coffee or a whiskey, the pleasure is always mutual.
In 2003, Brendan appeared in Kurt Voss’ rock and roll film "Down and Out With the Dolls". The Los Angeles Times calls him "A Standout". Brendan was also nominated for "Best Singer/Songwriter" by the Miami and Broward New Times, and won The Entertainment Industry Incubator’s Music Video Challenge with the politically charged song "Forever Glades". Brendan has earned his place as a favorite everywhere from the rock clubs to the presidential rallies. This spirited troubadour’s well-received debut LP, One Take Times, has been featured on KCRW Los Angeles’ opinion making program "A Brave New World", calling Brendan O’Hara one of the best unsigned acts heard in a long time. The LP was also featured at the 2004 Gentleman’s Expo in Las Vegas, and Brendan currently has his tribute to lost love "Enamoured" on several college radio stations and in medium rotation on Eastern Canadian radio. The new record "Perceptive Inception", a 21-track piano-driven, full-length studio project, is scheduled for release April 14, 2005.
