"Music is the essence of life, it lives and it breathes and it captures people" well that’s what Henry thinks. HiFlyer wants to create music for every person in the world, for them to be able to enjoy appreciate it as much as they do. Elle Williams and Henry are brother and sister and were raised in the Cotswolds. Tom Raiss was born and raised in Central London and grew up in Malaysia, Mike in, well, we’re not quite sure and Dan in London . They came together as school friends and old family friends, who all live around the Bristol and Bath area. They all share a love of music and have a determination to be a good as they possibly can. Luckily Henry had a small music room and they had the space to practice and create music.
It all started when Elle wrote her first song "Open Up Your Heart" and then started playing with Dan. A few months went by before Henry started to play and write with Elle. Henry and Tom were playing together and it didn’t take long before Elle, Tom, Dan and Henry started to play together. After a few months they really needed a bass player but the trouble was finding someone local that was good. Henry knew of an old friend who was rumoured to play the bass and on New Years Eve Elle called him and asked him to come over. They were playing a gig that night and Mike happened to turn up late to see the Band practicing. It didn’t take long for him to pick up a bass guitar and to start jamming, and that’s where it all started.
"We didn’t know what we were doing at the time we just rocked" said Henry. Mike was perfect and fitted in so well and became best friends with the others in a matter of https://www.tradebit.com band was formed. They started to play under the name Elle as she was writing the music at the time but it didn’t take long for Elle magazine to pick up on this and to start threatening a court case. The band was called Elle and started gigging using that name, much to the annoyance of Elle magazine. The band developed there own sound during this time and started to grow in confidence and also sound. At this time they were gigging two sets of music. One set was there own and the next was a covers set. "What we found" said Dan "was that people were coming to here our music and then would leave during the covers set ."
There seems to a be a great want and need for good original music" Henry and Elle had now started writing together and the style changed slightly. Henry loves easy listening music and bands such as Coldplay and Snowpatrol and this started to show in the music during this period of time. This was when the songs "Left Behind" and "Magical Moments" were born. The band added their own unique style to the sounds and they developed into very strong tunes. The band was doing some large gigs especially over the summer period at some of the larger beer and music festivals. They played as an unknown band but then as people started to know then better, they were invited back to headline many of the events for 2005.
As the court case from Elle magazine grew the band started looking at a new name and after weeks of fights and arguments the name HiFlyer was born. It then came to letting the fans know about the name change, but after a few large gigs of HiFlyer featuring Elle people realised the change in name, and started coming to watch the new HiFlyer. During this period of time the band had been working on new material, songs such as "To Be Me" and also "Jailbait Baby" The band were ready to record the album. They chose a small studio in Bristol which has a very good live room as the band wanted to record the album live. They are still in the process of recording it at the moment. HiFlyer have been talking to a few major record companies and have been in Paris talking to people over in Europe as well as people in UK.
