I started painting and drumming while recovering from a bout with depression and eventually turned to visual art and rhythm as the means to deepen my exploration of my Self. I activated myself emotionally, placing what I was feeling onto paper and canvas; as the process evolved, my work became more specific, revealing images and grooves that would lead me down another path. My heart came to life before my very own eyes! I could see my vision clearly and as I healed, words and music began to flow freely again...at first a trickle, then a stream, then a waterfall of song.
