Federal Reserve is the label's featured act and their freshman effort is quite impressive. This album is going to change the way music fans view Hip-Hop. Listeners will marvel at the way the production team for this album, Judah, Enhantz, Pure Fiya, Boo Boo The Fool and 3alarm blend unique styles to create one of the most well rounded independent projects in recent history. Mafiano(Leon Williams) was the first artist signed to Set For Life Records and it was his desire to team up with Wellzphargo(Malcolm Welborn) immediately and start making hot music. They formed Federal Reserve and started putting together a compilation album that would be indicative of all the talent that is currently on the label's roster. It is evident that Wellzphargo made a conscious effort to give deep thought to his lyrics, delving into subject matter varying from past mistakes to his present awakening where life's lessons are concerned. His style can be described as polished well read intellect meets savvy street hustler. The intro showcases Wellz's slick wordplay, while the albums first full length song, "Morning Sunshine", displays his exceptional songwriting ability. "Late At Night" acknowledges Wellz's past flirtations with street pharmaceuticals and "I'm Feeling You" exposes his sensitive side as he gives his audience a sample of the rap he employs when approaching a beautiful woman from his past. "Legendary Status" is a song that showcases the unusual chemistry that exists between Wellzphargo and Mafiano known for technical smooth lyrics making it one of many club bangers that these two seem to be proficient at making. This album contains songs about life in the inner city, male/female relationships, political corruption and the music industry as well. There is also a series of clever freestyles delivered by Wellz, Judah, Poverty, 3alarm and AWOL on the ode to hip-hop, "Chane Reakchun".
