"THE Emeralds haven't slept since 2002 when they first got toghther.
Or so it seems, for they are rock'n roll samurai. pursuing their musical vision 24-7. Their first visit to SXSW in 2004 was a gratifying eye-opener for the band. Though getting excellent responses gigging in and around Tokyo, as well as appearing in summer rock festibals, the Japan Nite showcase privided an opportunity for the band to present their music to an international audience for the firsttime. The 300-strong audience responded to an extent that the Emeralds thought that night was a fever dream. Selling over 100 CDs after their set was "a total thrill" , according to Kazuya.
