Down The Line proves an unlikely truth: Electricity has little to do with power. The band employs acoustic instruments - shimmering guitars, mandolin, violin, harmonica, and djembe drum...the only electric instrument, a driving bass. That organic blend, combined with soaring vocal harmonies and concise songcraft, makes for an undeniably powerful brand of acoustic pop. Lead vocals are shared among the group's standout voices (much like their favorites, Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles). And judging from the band's popularity in their hometown of Chicago and beyond, Down The Line is downright electric.

In the fall of 2005, Down The Line released their second full-length album, Please Remember My Name, a dynamic collection of memorable songs and a natural evolution of their immensely popular debut, Welcome to Flavortown. The members of Down The Line - Levi Britton (acoustic guitar, vocals); Derek Fawcett (djembe, vocals); Dan Myers (harmonica, mandolin, violin, vocals); and Dave Rothkopf (acoustic guitar, bass, vocals) - share a singular musical vision that's compelling on CD...and explosive on stage.

Down The Line was dubbed "the new wave of college rock" by Performing Songwriter magazine. They've been featured on both radio and television, including hometown Chicago benchmarks, WXRT, Q101, WCKG, WBEZ, WGN-TV and CLTV. They scored a top-40 hit on the national New Music Weekly charts with their single "Last Call," and their song "Here I Am" was featured on the soundtrack of the Universal Pictures film, Winter Break. Down The Line continues to tour nationally and overseas.
