Jonathan grew up in San Diego, California. Frustrated with the constraints of classical piano, he started exploring jazz and pop in high school and formed a handful of bands before falling in love with piano composition. Since then, Jonathan has developed his own unique voice that reflects the variety of his musical influences and training.

Jonathan recently returned from a year abroad in Spain and his debut album, "Smoke on the Horizon," was released in December, 2004.
