Sabrina Angela Dennard
On March 7, 1972 I was born Sabrina Angela Dennard in Fort Lauderdale, FL. My parents moved our family to Cordele, Georgia at the age of five. They instilled music by having us listen to Sam Cooke, The Five Blind Boys, The Soul Stirrers, and many more. When I got older my eldest brother turned me on to Sting, Tina Turner, Phil Collins, Bob Marley, Fine Young Cannibals, Eurythmics and more. My father, an artist of oil paintings, also taught us piano.
I joined the United States Army in https://www.tradebit.comle stationed at Fort Campbell, KY, I used my leisure time to work on my music. I used my time during field training and guard duty to write songs and poetry.
I returned home in 1999. In 2000 my high school friends and I and started a gospel trio called Beca's Cry. John Lundy at Trinity Records in Americus, GA produced our first CD single. I wrote the songs on the CD, Cry for Help and Going Home. It was a great day for us. I was ecstatic! It was something I dreamnt of all my life but it was shortly lived for the trio did not last due to unforeseen circumstances.
Nevertheless the show must go on. In August 2003 I began working full time with Third US Army Augmentation, Fort McPherson, GA. I continued to write songs and poetry. In November 2003 I volunteered to be mobilized for the continuing war in Iraq in hopes of replacing soldiers so they could return home to their families. There I served as the Administrative Clerk for one of the three star Generals at Camp Victory, Iraq. I attended both Gospel and Catholic services. I was asked to be the pianist for the Gospel services. The choir also sang one of the songs written by me called "Sinner." Many soldiers came to me and told me how my style of music changed their way of thinking when it came to worship. It was something different to them. I was even told that it took their burdens and fears away. I was so thankful to God that he used me even over there to console the soldiers. I had no idea that was my reason for being there. I also gave out Christ posters that my dad drew they included the twin towers. Several officers thanked me for them and said that the posters were an inspiration. God has been good to me and to my family. He allowed me to make it home to my four beautiful children, Nicole, Adrian, Tekeira and Nyia and my lovely mom, Etheron Dennard and my dad Ernest Dennard Sr. who took care of my children. Mom, Dad thank you for taking care of my family while I went to serve our country. Thank you for your support in my music. I love you. Many did not make it home from the war alive and I wrote a song for them. In January 2005, I started Pink Linen's Jook Joint an entertainment company to get my music and poetry going. This CD is my first true solo CD produced by Paul Persley, founder of Clean Heart Enterprises. I am very excited about the outcome of this project and I look forward to sharing it with you all. My complete CD will be out soon. I hope this bio and my music does for you what it does for me and many others. May God bless you forever and ever.
