slc rOCKER CLAY RELEASES SECOND ALBUM OF ORGINAL MUSIC

SALT LAKE CITY , UT - DECEMBER 2, 2003 - Local rock musician, Clay, has released his second album of original music. This sophomore effort follows on the heels of his full-length debut, The Dragon Lies Sleeping in 2002. The new album is an EP titled Dragon Evolved and contains seven original songs and two acoustic re-makes. All of the material on Dragon Evolved was written in the last six months and produced at Goldfish Productions in Toronto , Canada .

"Songs seem to come in waves," said Clay. "The tracks on Dragon Evolved were the last set of the day. They came in too late to be included on The Dragon Lies Sleeping , but they represent a clear evolution of those songs. I felt the need to get them out quickly as an extension of the full-length album, so I opted for this EP release. I jumped at the chance to work with some of Canada 's best music producers and the result is a product that I takes my music to the next level."

Dragon Evolved exhibits Clay's polished melodies, combined with an alt-rock edge. Since 2002 he has been among a handful of college musicians tapped by Mountain Dew to participate in a series of promotional CDs for the new AMP Energy Drink. In March of 2003, he was awarded $10,000 to produce a music video for a contest co-sponsored by MTV2.com and Mountain Dew. Clay's video - filmed in downtown SLC - used harsh lighting and sharp, saturated colors reminiscent of 1970's action films to showcase the soaring melodies, live radio cuts and soundscape grooves of The Dragon Lies Sleeping . Online votes from his fans made him a runner-up in the contest and further established him as a talent to watch in the music industry.

Clay is represented by 4Real Artist Management out of Orange County , California . He
