I've always wanted to do something relevant with music. i remember being enamored as a kid with Band Aid, Live Aid, Knebworth, The Secret Policeman's Other Ball and many other significant music benefit events. In the early 90s, my college band The Names participated in a benefit for a rape crisis center, the homeless and other regional events. There's something to say for putting your passion to work for the good of others. that good for others also means good for us and those around us. It's all connected really. It's like a sutra. This record attempts to somehow fit into that space. The proceeds from the pressed CDs went to Youth for Environmental Sanity (YES!). YES! has spoken to hundreds of thousands of students all over the world, all aimed in the direction of turning people on to preserving us and the planet.
