Canyon Ridge - The Most
is a collection of songs written by Bill Taylor and performed by the acoustic duo called Canyon Ridge. It was recorded in a private home sound studio owned by William Engle in September 2003. Although Canyon Ridge is primarily an acoustic duo consisting of guitar and bass, the CD features the musicians other instrumental talents on the mandolin, electric guitar, and keyboards. Guest musician, Duffy Lasker, provides a subtle drum beat to some of the songs. The overall sound of the CD is a mixture of styles blended to sound like a live performance. The New CD, 'The Most' reflects the multi-faceted acoustic sound of Canyon Ridge with lyrics that challenge your mind and encourage your attitude.
The new CD was released on October 10, 2003 and was celebrated with several area performances.

Canyon Ridge began September 2002 when William Engle and Bill Taylor performed at the Mead Day festival in Mead, Colorado. Since that time, the two musicians have been performing and polishing original music that is a combination of acoustic rock, folk, jazz, bluegrass and alternative country. CR has performed in these Colorado cities: Denver, Longmont, Boulder, Westminster, Greeley, Estes Park, Fort Collins, and Evergreen

Bill Taylor
Bill Taylor is a songwriter and a true seeker of the 'next song'. His lyrics and music reflect his own life and also the lives of other people past and present. He tries to demonstrate his own philosophy for living in songs like 'Better Times', 'In My Life' and 'See Me'. Other songs like 'Santa Fe' and 'The Most' are from some of his own experiences. The song 'Borders Crossed' is a true story of a man and woman from two different countries that eventually married. Taylor has found his own style in acoustic music though endless rehearsals and playing live in front of coffee house and café audiences. His true love is to perform his original songs and to continue writing new songs for performances and recordings.

William Engle
William Engle is an accomplished musician in bass guitar, keyboards, classical trombone, and electric and acoustic guitar. He started playing music at a very young age and comes from a long line of musical ancestry. He holds a degree in music (AAS) from Onondaga Community College in Syracuse NY and a Music Business Degree (BBA) from Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn. Having worked in Nashville and the Northeast as a Musician and Major Label Administrator, Engle brings a tremendous amount of experience and musical professionalism to the duo Canyon Ridge.
